Myrna has had the pleasure of a long career in writing broadcast radio commercials. She would describe that experience as "going to coffee and taking work breaks". Copywriting is a creative short form, but Myrna enjoys the longer form of article-writing that allows her inner teacher to express herself.

Currently writing commercials for the Rogers radio stations in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Myrna wakes up every morning and chuckles with glee over her good fortune in life. "What a way to make a living!"

In 2001, her eldest son asked her to train and run with him in the annual Marathon by the Sea half marathon, and she was crazy enough to take him up on it. Myrna ran her first of 4 half marathons in the summer of 2002, and published an account of that experience in the local Saint John, New Brunswick newspaper.

As a Contributing Writer for Suite101.com, Myrna posts articles mainly in the Travel and Vegetarian sections.
